Celestia #2 by ManlyStitches Celestia #2 by ManlyStitches
Here is my second Princess Celestia plushie. She took around 20 hours to make, and that's after I had all the patterns from last time. I changed a few things from last time, including her horn (made it a bit thinner), her hoof-guards (made them removeable and not sewed onto her hooves), and the construction of her wings (I didn't have batting, so I had to use regular stuffing, and they ended up looking very different, but in a good way). I also tweaked the embroidery of her crown, making the jewel bigger.
She stands 14 inches to the top of her crown, and 16 inches to the tip of her wings. I patterned her completely, using :iconvalleyviolet:'s mare pattern as a base. Her necklace and hoof-guards are removable, and attached with velcro. Her wings are held together with velco, and can be let down (as seen in the lower-left picture). Her crown is sewn down, and is not removable. She will be for sale at Galacon 2013 in August.

thanks!  her wings took a loooong time to pattern and eventually figure out how to sew together.  basically, after i turned them, i made some stitches on the outside, between the "feathers", to shape them, then i stuffed them and added the accent piece.  maybe this doesnt make sense but i cant think of a better way to explain it right now XD

Just one thing on your minky choice for the mane - not sure if it's just the lighting, but the colours on her mane are far too saturated :P They should be pastel, is all
She still looks amazing, so don't stress too much :)

I decided to make them a little darker, to see how it would turn out. I'm afraid that the choices for minky are a little bit limited, and I couldnt find 4 shades of ligher colored minky that I thought would look good together, so I went with a little dakrer colored minky. I may change it in the future.
