Celestia #1

At last, I can show the world my Celestia plush! I actually made her months ago, but I couldn’t post pictures because I would spoil the surprise for her new owner!

A handfull of bronies from our Houston Brony group contacted me to make a Celestia plushie for one of our leaders who took it upon herself to take a large leadership role in a lot of meetups and events, sacrificing a lot of her time, effort, and money into making our group and events a success, time after time. She cosplayed as Celestia for the season 3 meetup, and everyone loved it. She has cosplayed as Celestia multiple times since then, and so we started calling her our own “Princess Sunbutt”.

But there was other people who made stuff too, and they all wanted to give her the stuff at the same time, so my Celestia plush waited at a friend’s house in Houston for a while, until the other bronies could coordinate a time to give her all the stuff (including my plush). They gave her the gifts yesterday, a week before her birthday. I was a little out of the loop after I made her, because I came to Germany for a semester of foreign study. So I didn’t get to present it to her, but I saw a video, and it was great! She loves it, and I’m very glad to be able to give back (I was commissioned by a few other bronies, who split the cost among themselves, but I threw in a massive discount off what I would normally charge).

Celestia is made of minky, with machine embroidered details. She stands at about 16 inches. Body, mane, tail, and accessories completely patterned by me (body based off of ’s pony pattern). She contains no wire; her wings are held up by trade secret (it's magic! I mean friendship !). Yes, the wings do come apart; they are not stitched together!
